Happy Spring Break, FACS! Looking for something fun to do locally during your Spring Break? Memphis has so many fun, family-friendly activities, like visiting local parks, taking a walk together or going on a bike ride. We curated a list of fun activities that the entire family can enjoy.
Explore Memphis Outdoors
Take the fun outside by visiting one of these local park destinations:
Wolf River Greenway has miles to explore that stretch across the city.
Shelby Farms Greenline located just five minutes from FACS
Big River Crossing in Downtown Memphis
Meeman- Shelby Forest State Park is located just outside of Millington. Don’t forget to check out The General Store, 7729 Benjestown Rd, Millington, TN 38053, located inside of the park.
Overton Park in the popular Midtown area
Herb Parsons Lake Trail in Collierville
Stanky Creek Trail- Bartlett at Nesbit Park.
Explore a Museum
Not interested in being outdoors? Take the fun indoors at one of these museums, just to name a few, which offer many fun and interactive learning opportunities for young, developing minds.
MoSH ( Museum Of Science and History) currently has its Artificial Intelligence exhibit open.
Memphis Brooks Museum of Memphis, located at Overton Park.
Discovery Park of America, while located in Union City, Tenn., is worth the drive for an all-day adventure of learning and fun.
C.H. Nash Museum Chucalissa, located at 1987 Indian Village Drive, explores the "pre-history" of the Mid-South.

The Art Project is a free play art space that's so much fun for our younger FACS students, most ideal for ages 1-12ish.
Catch an educational movie at The Giant Screen Theater in MoSH.
Explore and find a new book from one of Novel's amazing book selections.
Creation Station, located at Bellevue, is open during Spring Break and a great place run, climb and play.
Goldfish Swim School is a great place for indoor swim play or even quick swim lessons.
The Mid-South Ice House, located in Olive Branch, Miss., is open for ice skating and sports yearround.
Head over to HighPoint Climbing and take on a climbing challenge during their Spring Break Camp.
So many discoveries await you at the Memphis Zoo, including exhbits of hundreds of various animal species.
Take family game night out to The Memphis Chess Club, located Downtown Memphis.
