Christmas Traditions at FACS

There are several fun and festive holiday traditions at First Assembly Christian School that help students find joy in the Christmas season while learning what - and WHO - the celebration is really about... Jesus! One of the favorite traditions is the annual Christmas Chapel, where students in grades 6-12 gather to sing songs and hear the wonder of the Christmas story.

This year, the fun included a karaoke contest, which featured seniors and some guest appearances from faculty and staff who sang holiday favorites. The FACS Band and FACS Choir also performed musical numbers from their recent concerts, and students from the Theatre Department shared a read-thru performance from Luke 2. Pastor Adam Steinbach, Youth Pastor at First Assembly Memphis, shared more about the truth of the season and the blessing of the Savior's birth.

After chapel service, students were served cookies and other yummy treats by parents. To make the day even more fun, students dressed up in Christmas sweaters.
