Chick-fil-A Leader Academy Participates in Do Good December

Students in the recently launched Chick-fil-A (CFA) Leader Academy are already hard at work serving with project teams and blessing others as a part of Do Good December. What is Do Good December? This is a project opportunity for students who participate in the CFA Leader Academy to apply their servant leadership skills as a way to help others in need. Students break up in project teams to identify needs in the area and how they can help.

Leaders Pack Boxes for Neighborhood Christian Center

Chick-fil-A leaders packed boxes of food for the holidays at the Neighborhood Christian Center to deliver to families in need. This group packed 150 boxes in the short time they were there! Way to go, leaders!

Another group of CFA leaders learned of a family who had recently experienced a house fire, losing much of what they owned. Together they rallied to gather items the family needed, then wrapped and delivered them. Way to go, team!

Chick-fil-ALeaderAcademy, a national high school leadership program, launched in 2022 at FACS with 29 high school students, grades 10-12, taking part in this leadership training organization.

As a part of the program, students learn what it means to be a leader and how they can strengthen their leadership skills. Academy meetings occur monthly during "leader labs" where students work together in teams on three large projects throughout the year.

Pictured above, students are engaged in a fun game, encouraging team building and participation. You can learn more about the national organization here.
