High School History Teacher
First Assembly Christian School in Cordova, Tn is currently seeking a High School History Teacher in our Secondary department. The right candidate must have an active teaching license and be certified in Social Studies grades 9-12. Candidates certified to teach Dual Enrollment Government and U.S. History are preferred. Must possess the necessary leadership skills and be experienced in classroom management, developing daily lesson plans, and be a lifelong learner that thrives in a team atmosphere. We are a Matthew 28 school with the focus of preparing and equipping our student’s to be the example and share the gospel of Jesus Christ!
The teacher must create a space where students feel safe and comfortable enough to learn while managing the different ability levels and various cultural backgrounds that invariably come together in the classroom. In addition, teachers are tasked with keeping the lines of communication open between students, parents, and other stakeholders in order to ensure student success.
