Before & After School Care
Students may arrive at school at 7 a.m. Elementary students go directly to before-school care; there is no charge for this supervised study hall. Secondary students may go directly to the cafeteria in the main school building. Students are required to remain in these locations until 7:45 a.m., when they may go to class.
FACS offers an after-school care program each day from dismissal time until 5:45 p.m. for students in JrK-6 and an after-school study hall from dismissal until 6 p.m. for students in grades 7-12.
Parents of all FACS elementary students are required to register with after-school care whether or not they will be using the program. This allows our after-school care providers to keep student information on file in the event a parent is unexpectedly unavailable to pick a child up after school. In that event, the student is placed in after-school care until the parent arrives.
There is a separate charge for after-school care.
After-school care is not available on half-days, teacher in-service days or school holidays.
