J. Cook Named Scholar Athlete
Senior J. Cook has been named a
Scholar Athlete by The National
Football Foundation and College Hall
of Fame, Inc. He will be honored at
a black-tie event May 12 at the
University of Memphis. J. Cook has
served as president of the FACS Student
Government Association and captain of
the football team. He was was recently named Mr. FACS for 2008, a designation representing the FACS ideals of character, scholarship and service.

Kathy Davis is leaving FACS at the
end of this school year and will be
moving to Alabama with her
husband. Please give Kathy a hug
and a warm farewell. She is an
extraordinary Christian educator who has loved and encouraged hundreds of children at our school.
Crusader Softball Players Chosen for Regional Honors
Congratulations to freshman A. DiGirolamo and sophomore K. King, who were chosen 1st Team All Region Varsity Softball, and to junior S. Thibado and sophomore N. Caraway, who were chosen 2nd Team All Region Varsity Softball. Freshmen A. Ferrin and B. Workman were selected for Honorable Mention.

Sports Physicals May 17
The Campbell Clinic Sports Medicine Team offers physicals to FACS athletes entering grades 9-12 in the fall of 2008. Physicals begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at the Germantown clinic, 1400 Germantown Road. The cost is $20 and should be paid in advance in the school office; 50% of the cost is donated back to the FACS Booster Club.

Green and Gold at Ole' Miss May 24
The FACS Football Team will play a green and gold scrimmage Saturday, May 24, at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium on the campus of the University of Mississippi. All FACS students, parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, alumni and friends are invited to attend. Bring your own picnic to The Grove at Ole' Miss beginning at noon. Admission to the game, which begins at about 2 p.m., is $5, and includes a barbecue dinner after the game (about 4 p.m.) in the South Zone Club. Please call the office or email mwhite@facsmemphis.org with the number in your party who plan to attend, so that we can accurately plan for the dinner. Car flags for the event may be purchased in advance for $10 until May 16 by contacting Dana DeLisle in the library, ddelisle@facsmemphis.org. The flags will also be available for purchase at the game, along with other football items.

meeting at 8 a.m. every Monday morning in Room 120.
FAMILIES: Please continue to pray for Coach Cagle and his son, Todd. Praise God that Todd is now working hard in rehabilitation following injuries in a serious vehicle accident Easter Sunday. Continue to pray also for Mrs. Saunders, whose brother was seriously injured while assisting another motorist April 4. Pray for faculty and staff who are caring for aging parents while simultaneously building into the lives of our students. Pray for the Lane family, whose members are dealing with several major health concerns. Pray for Mrs. Webber, whose mother passed away April 7. Continue in prayer for the following FACS families who have lost loved ones in the past year: Arant, Ashmore, Bouchard, Gibson, Johnson, Parrish and Wilson.
