Prayer

Individual and corporate prayer plays an important role in the life of the "FACS family."

Our parents meet at 8 a.m. each Monday in the conference room (120) for a time of corporate prayer on behalf of our students, faculty and staff. Please check in at the school office before joining us.  Students lead their own prayer times from 7:15-7:45 a.m. each Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the chapel.

Many teachers open the day with prayer requests and a brief prayer and devotional time in the classroom. Students pray in groups in clubs and on sports, fine arts, and academic teams. Weekly chapels in both elementary and secondary school afford time for reflection and prayer. And, of course, we join with other students across the country each fall for See You at the Pole.

Last fall, our student journalists asked fellow students how they would like parents, grandparents, faculty and supporters to pray for them. Below are some of their responses. Pray that:

• students and teachers will fulfill their mission by witnessing
• students will be receptive to the truth
• students will accept others regardless of size, race, appearance, etc.
• God will show students the areas in which they are gifted, and open opportunities for students to pursue those areas with passion
• students will enjoy healthy family relationships
• students will develop good study skills
