FACS offers a unique and creative collection of theatre arts classes that appeal to all students.  Courses include public speaking, introduction to theatre arts, broadcasting and forensics. 

Beginning in spring 2009, the FACS High School Theatre Department will present two full performances a year: a production in the fall specifically geared for the younger audience, and another in the spring.  Along with these performances, students will present original works throughout the year. 

Broadcasting students write, produce and anchor a 20-minute broadcast that is aired every two weeks on C-TV, or Crusader Television, our in-school television station. 

The FACS Theatre Department also participates in a number of speech and drama competitions and workshops throughout the year, including National Forensics League, THSSDL (Tennessee High School Speech and Drama League)  and National Thespian conferences. 

Erin Lindberg, who instructs and directs all theatre arts programs, said she is very excited about FACS’ commitment to the Arts and believes that every student should have the opportunity to participate in creative learning experiences that inspire self-confidence, focus and creativity. At FACS, this is accomplished in a supportive Christian environment. 

“Through these things we can teach our students not only to succeed in the world after high school, but also how to successfully communicate their Christian beliefs to others,” Mrs. Lindberg said.
