Junior kindergarten instructors at FACS utilize Abeka mathematics and Sing, Spell, Read and Write language (a strong phonics curriculum that incorporates a variety of learning styles).
Bible memorization is an important part of the lesson plan. Beyond the core curriculum, students are monitored regularly as they develop age-appropriate motor skills and personal/social skills as well as work habits that will promote success in elementary school.
In addition to two junior kindergarten classes at our main campus, preschool classes also are available at Cordova Learning Center (CLC), an FACS satellite located near the main entrance to Countrywood Subdivision.
CLC serves preschool students aged 2, 3 and 4, is open 12 months a year on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and has been operating for 11 years.
At the Center, 2- and 3-year-olds study colors, numbers and shapes, learn to count, and learn to follow school behavioral and organizational procedures. Four-year-olds follow a complete junior kindergarten curriculum, identical to that taught at FACS, gaining all of the necessary senior kindergarten readiness skills.
